SPEAKER PROFILES
Elliot “Jupiter” Townley, of Second Heart Counseling, is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) who specializes in supporting LGBTQIA2S+ clients and clients with complex trauma disorders. They are a genderqueer person who loves their community, and feels passionate about how being our authentic selves can make all our communities healthier, happier, and more fulfilling. In helping their clients seek out gender-affirming medical care and aesthetic self-expression, Jupiter sees how electrology is a vital service. They hope offering their knowledge to other professionals can help electrologists feel comfortable supporting transgender & nonbinary clients, help your clients feel at home and cared for, and uplift our larger Oregon community.
Nicole Pappas, LE, has been a licensed esthetician for the last 20 years, massage therapist for 15, and most recently an electrologist. Throughout her massage career, she has helped folks with injuries and carefully curates individualized at-home strengthening and stretching routines for each client. Being an electrologist, she’s observed that back pain is very common among us. During her time at the seminar, Nicole will teach a simple 5-10 minute routine that targets specific areas of the body and can be performed in the treatment room, in-between clients, or at the start of your shift. She will also provide suggestions for at home exercises.
Sara Wolfe, LE, out of Dallas, TX Hair Today Gone Tomorrow, is also a Licensed ProAdvisor Bookkeeper. The presentation titled Bookkeeper VS CPA focuses on the differing roles of a small business bookkeeper and accountant. Learn how both rolls are invaluable for every entrepreneur and small business owner. Strategies to protect themselves in an audit and be given up to date information on changes within the IRS that will affect their business.
HEARTSAVER® FIRST AID CPR AED TRAINING
On-Site Training Conducted by MHEST (Mount Hood Educational Services and Training). One of our course instructors is a former electrologist (Diane Kindall). The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
